Any processable fleece is welcome. You pay shipping to Iowa and shipping back. Work starts when your box reaches the front of the queue.

What to put in the box

  • Fleece in a plastic bag (one animal per bag if you want them kept separate)
  • A paper slip with your first name, city and state, and the animal name and/or fiber type
  • A way to reach you (email or Facebook name)
  • Any notes: keep colors separate, blend it all, extra VM, etc.

Write the slip for inside the box. Labels on the outside get torn off.

The deal, again

You pay postage both ways. I process in the order boxes are opened. You get 50% of the finished yarn. Greener Pathways keeps 50% as payment.

Watch the job on the Queue page. First name, city and state, and animal or type are what appear in public.

Please don’t ship

  • Moldy or rotting fiber
  • Wet fleece sealed in plastic for a long ride in summer heat
  • A felted brick that cannot be opened by hand

If you are unsure, send a photo first.

After it arrives

The box is opened, skirted if needed, and logged. Status moves from Received through Washing, Drying, Carding, Spinning, Finished, then Shipped. Progress pictures go with the job when there is something worth showing.
